If you own horses, you could be held liable for damage they cause even if you do not operate a commercial horse business. For example, if your horse gets loose, runs onto a road and causes an accident, or if your horse injures someone at a horse show you could be held liable.

LEGISequine's Private Horse Owner Liability policy can protect you against these and other legal claims, covering medical expenses and damages the court determines you owe within the limits of your policy.

Private Horse Owner Liability Includes:
  • Up to $1,000,000 in liability limits
  • Coverage applies on or off your premises anywhere in the U.S., Canada, and U.S. territories
  • Medical payments up to $5,000

This coverage is not available to individuals involved in commercial equine operations, such as riding instruction, boarding, conducting trail rides, training, commercial breeding, or those who own more than ten horses.
