Our LEGIS Team works with you to understand your horse activities in order to create risk management strategies to best meet your needs. We work with a variety of highly rated insurance carriers, and our Team has the experience to help with all things “horse.”

Horses and ponies, farms and ranches, riding instruction and training, shows and events, clubs and associations, worker compensation and employment matters, tack and equipment, and vehicles and trailers are all within our stable of insurance coverages.

Marnye Langer - Managing Director

As The Langer Group’s Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director, Marnye uses her business skills to guide LEGIS and its talented team. In addition to an MBA, Marnye earned the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist (AFIS) designations. She has taught equine-focused insurance classes to her insurance peers.

Marnye has ridden at all levels of the hunter/jumper sport, and you can find her having fun in the 1.20m and 1.30m Amateur Jumpers. She has recently slid into the reining world, and enjoys competing with her Quarter Horse, PabstBlueRibbon. As the daughter of a professional horseman Marnye understands the needs of professional horsemen and the complexities of operating a horse business.

She is also a USEF “R” Judge for Hunters, Jumpers, and Equitation, serves on a variety of USHJA committees, and is a past president of the Los Angeles Hunter Jumper Association where she remains as a director. As a published author, she puts her journalism skills to work writing and speaking about insurance issues pertaining to the equine industry.

Sarah Rajoy - Operations Manager

Sarah has been with LEGIS from day one and has helped the agency grow into one of the best equine focused insurance agencies in the country. To be among the best, Sarah has added to her horse knowledge with in-depth insurance education, earning the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist (AFIS) designations.

Sarah is a lifelong Eventer and has competed through Intermediate. She now competes on the hunter/jumper circuit with her horse, Quantum ETC. In addition to her competition experience, Sarah is a licensed as a USEF Technical Delegate for Eventing, a USEF Jumper Judge, and an FEI Eventing Steward.

Sarah and her husband, Craig, have two young sons, Emmett and Xander. Craig owns and runs Game 7 PEMF, a company that provides Pulsed Electro Magnetic Field sessions for horses as well as humans and dogs. Their family enjoys going on trail rides and spending time around the barn together.

Craig Rajoy - Team Lead

Craig Rajoy joined the LEGIS team in December of 2022. Excited for a new challenge, he jumped in headfirst to the insurance side of the equine industry. After seeing the career his wife, Sarah, had made with LEGIS, Craig knew that joining the LEGIS team would be the perfect fit for his own goals and his growing family. In his time with LEGIS, Craig aims to provide organization from a high-level approach as well as write and update training documents. His skillset is perfectly suited to improve efficiency and cohesiveness within the LEGIS team.

Craig’s equine experience developed from owning and managing Game 7 PEMF, a Los Angeles based company providing Pulsed Electromagnetic Field sessions for horses, humans, and dogs. Fascinated by the horses he was working on, Craig decided to learn some riding basics. He took lessons at Hansen Dam Riding School, before moving to Aiken, SC.

Currently, Craig has taken a step back from working directly with horses, and he supports his wife in her riding activities. They have two young sons, Emmett and Alexander. The couple also owns three rescue dogs–Sally, Eleanor, and Satchel. Craig loves life in South Carolina for the numerous outdoor activities and unhurried atmosphere. He looks forward to raising his family and continuing his career with LEGIS in Aiken.

Terra Wallace – Farm and Liability Specialist

Terra grew up riding at Seahorse Riding Club in Rolling Hills Estates, and throughout her junior years she mainly showed in the jumper ring. Terra continued competing throughout college at Fresno State University, where she was part of their NCAA Division 1 Equestrian Team. Terra knew that she wanted to find a career where she could continue following her passion for horses and equestrian sport.

Joining the LEGIS Team offered Terra the opportunity to put her extensive horse knowledge to work, and she continues to develop expertise in farms, liability, and horse insurance. She assists LEGIS clients with their various insurance needs. Terra is adding to her knowledge and obtaining her designation as an Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist (AFIS) and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC).

Any time she gets an opportunity to ride, Terra is thrilled to get back in the tack. While horses are her favorite, Terra loves all animals, and she is the “mom” to two cats, Archie and Mika.

Blanca McGowan – Equine Specialist

Blanca likes to say that her family grew up with a “mini zoo” of pets, including two dogs, three cats, a bunny, and her mom’s horse. While in high school, Blanca enjoyed taking Western lessons along with her sister, Celeste.

Blanca took a break from riding when she went to college, but she wanted animals to remain an important part of her life. After finishing school, she became a vet tech at a small animal clinic and spent some time working at a pet hotel.

She got married, had her daughter, Eli, and decided she wanted a more “stable” career path. Around that time, a job posting from LEGIS caught her eye. She enjoys the collaborative energy among the LEGIS Team and has fun getting to know the clients.

Outside of the office, Blanca likes going on road trips, camping, and spending time at her mom’s horse ranch in Colorado Springs, CO. She is also an expert at crafting and even has her own Etsy store!

Kirsten LaVassar – Equine Specialist

Kirsten joined the LEGIS team in October 2022. She values honesty and integrity, and she enjoys working in a community of equine loving individuals who want to help others with their equine insurance needs.

In keeping with the LEGIS motto of #HorsemenInsuringHorsemen, Kirsten is an avid horse lover and lifelong equestrian. Born and raised in Charleston, SC Kirsten started riding at the age of seven and is now the owner of an off the track thoroughbred. She competes in eventing and dressage. In 2015 Kirsten moved to Aiken, SC to attend USC Aiken and graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Outside of work, Kirsten enjoys traveling to all parts of the world and exploring new places.

Tallula Brodsky – Property and Liability Associate

Tallula Brodsky is a horsewoman to the core. She has ridden since age five, growing up competing extensively in eventing. Recently she has taken to showing in dressage. The care and quality of life of her horses has always been her top concern. She originally moved to Aiken, SC for its horse community and lives in the area with her dog, Ollie, and cat, Bebop.

Tallula joined LEGIS in March 2023. She currently works as part of the Farm and Liability team. Her goal is to connect with other horse people and use her industry knowledge to help them insure their horses and property in the best possible way. Her favorite aspect of LEGIS is the collaboration between team members, especially because they are fellow horsemen.

Chaness Raysor - Property and Liability Associate

Chaness joined the LEGIS team in May 2023 as she was looking to extend her reach beyond fielding phone calls and limited customer service. As part of the LEGIS Team, Chaness enjoys being able to directly help LEGIS clients and provide solutions.

With a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership and two associate degrees from the University of South Carolina, Chaness brings collaboration, problem-solving, and conflict- resolution skills to her role.

Chaness prioritizes having a healthy work-life balance and the community at LEGIS has given her just that. Her favorite part of working at LEGIS is the sense of community in the office and the support she receives from her coworkers. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with family, seizing the day with adventure, and sipping the perfect cup of coffee. Although new to the equine world, Chaness looks forward to learning more about horses and interacting with them directly.

Sandy Shannon-Pasciuti - Field Agent

Sandy Shannon-Pascuitui, originally from Tampa, FL, found her home in Aiken, SC in 2018. Her involvement in the Aiken horse world over the years has allowed Sandy to foster connections and relationships with the local equine community. Sandy is a #HorsemenInsuringHorsemen with her experience in owning and caring for horses and now offering that expertise to prospective clients.

Through LEGIS, Sandy is committed to connecting clients with insurance solutions tailored to their needs by utilizing her skills as a practiced networker and problem solver. Sandy is passionate about delivering top-notch customer service and prioritizes empathy and care. Sandy relishes meeting new people and addressing their insurance needs.

Outside of the office, Sandy’s interests range from reading to gardening, along with spending quality time with loved ones.
